Join us for the Screening of the film "HOME" as Part of the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal Project

It's time to act — let's do it together!
On June 5th, on World Environment Day, the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal project started its active implementation stage with the free screening of the film "HOME" for all interested individuals.
This year's campaign for World Environment Day focuses on land restoration and combating desertification and drought under the slogan "Our Earth. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration."
The EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal project aims to create a strong European community of environmentally aware and responsible young people who are aware of climate issues and know how to address them. Launched in March 2022 and supported by the "Creative Europe MEDIA" program (Audience Development and Film Education Program), it is now entering its second round.
Currently, the project is being implemented in 12 countries — Ukraine, Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and South Tyrol (Italy) — through free film screenings and streaming, accompanied by educational materials tailored to students and teachers. The project will run until February 2026.
Starting from September 2024, Ukrainian students and teachers, both in Ukraine and abroad, will have free access to nearly 50 excellent European films with Ukrainian subtitles and high-quality educational materials.
The film "HOME" with Ukrainian subtitles is available from June 5th to June 15th for free, without registration. Many other films are also available on the website!
"HOME" celebrates the beauty of Earth and passionately calls for its protection from degradation. This compelling and boldly optimistic film travels through 54 countries, highlighting the state of the environment and the factors that will play a crucial role in shaping its future.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the director of HOME, says: "With the film 'HOME,' we aimed to launch a new model of cinema — activist cinema that involves civil society and various NGOs. I am pleased that 15 years after the world premiere, the film 'HOME' has become part of the EU Youth Cinema, reaching thousands of young people in Europe and beyond. Our current trajectory threatens our civilization and depletes Earth's resources. We must consider the possibility of creating a new, fairer system, which can only be achieved through a change in public opinion. We need to share more, give more love, and love each other more. While this may sound utopian and naive, I believe that utopia embodies a deep and natural truth."
In Ukraine, the project's partner is the NGO "Innovative Generation" (INNOGEN) in Kharkiv.
