All-Ukrainian Open Tournament of Young Physicists (Junior League): Summary
From April 19th to 21st, the 24th All-Ukrainian Open Tournament of Young Physicists (Junior League) took place in an online format.
Seven teams from Kyiv, Lutsk, and Kharkiv participated in the tournament.
The winners of the tournament were the teams "Momentum" and "Talent," which both received the highest score.
The first team was a combination of students from Kharkiv Lyceum No. 161 "Impulse" and Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Scientific Lyceum No. 27. The team was coached by Professor of the University's School of Physics, Zakhar Maizelis.
The second team represented the Kharkiv Scientific Lyceum-Boarding School "Talent."
The tournament jury included representatives of the Karazin community, including Hero of Ukraine Ilya Gelfgat, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute "School of Physics and Technology" Pylyp Kuznetsov, Professor of the School of Physics Oleksiy Holubov, university graduates Ksenia Minakova, Svitlana Fedchenko, Oleksandr Kamin, and Ihor Nenashev, as well as students Stanislav Litvinov and Roman Ovsyannikov.
The jury was traditionally chaired by Professor Igor Hirka, Director of the Educational and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology."
We thank the organizers of the tournament and the team leaders who worked diligently to prepare the teams for the tournament. We hope to see participants of the Junior League at the adult tournament and later in the classrooms of Karazin University!
