During January 12-15, 2024, the final stage of the XXX All-Ukrainian Young Physicists Tournament took place in a remote format in Odesa, hosted by the Richelieu Scientific Lyceum.
Fifteen teams from eight regions of Ukraine participated in the tournament, including 6 teams from the Kharkiv region. The city of Kharkiv was represented by 4 teams.
After the qualifying rounds, two Kharkiv teams advanced to the final – the city team "Moment of Momentum" (composed of students from School No. 161 "Impulse" and School No. 27 of the Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum) and the team from the general secondary education institutions of Kharkiv region's Kholodnohirskyi district called "Quark," as well as the team from the "Giftedness" Scientific Lyceum of Kharkiv region.
Following intense final battles, the "Moment of Momentum" team emerged as the tournament's winner. The team was led by the esteemed teacher of Ukraine, Professor of the School of Physics at Karazin University, Zakhar Maizelis.
The second place was secured by the "Quark" team from Kholodnohirskyi district, while two Kharkiv teams, "Isotopes" from the Slobidskyi district and "Electrum," shared the third place.
