World Health Day
On April 7, the world observes World Health Day, established by the World Health Organization (WHO). It is an important reminder that taking care of oneself is the foundation of a strong society, successful education, and a sustainable future.
At V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, health is not just a topic of discussion but a daily practice and a key area of development. As one of the oldest universities in Ukraine, it brings together strong scientific schools, medical education, research, and initiatives aimed at preserving and strengthening human health.
It is at Karazin University that future doctors, biologists, psychologists, pharmacists, and public health professionals gain the knowledge that will later save lives, support society, and help address modern challenges.
University researchers study issues of physical and mental health, contribute to the development of medicine, biotechnology, and environmental safety, and take part in educational projects and initiatives that promote a culture of responsible health awareness.
Karazin University also creates an environment where self-care matters: it supports sports and wellness initiatives, develops psychological support services, encourages an active lifestyle, and reminds us that success begins with inner balance.
On World Health Day, we thank everyone whose work, knowledge, and dedication make the world healthier every day. May care for ourselves, for others, and for the future remain our shared value.
