29 january 2024 year

On the occasion of the 219th anniversary of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, a congratulatory letter was received from the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Karazin University, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Kharkiv Karazin University Foundation, Anatoliy Zahorodniy.

"Heartfelt greetings on the occasion of the 219th anniversary of the founding day of our university, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

"We, like the entire Ukrainian nation, mark this anniversary in the conditions of a bloody war with the Russian aggressor, who kills our people, destroys our cities and villages, ruins our historical and cultural heritage, our science, and education. These days are particularly difficult for Kharkiv. The heart is filled with blood when you learn about the barbaric destruction of our beautiful city. But we are resilient and unbroken. A shining example of this is the illustrious Karazin University. Your courage, resilience, and dedication to the cause are truly inspiring. Despite all the challenges associated with being in a combat zone, despite constant rocket attacks and shelling, despite numerous irreparable losses, you continue to maintain a high level of education and science, continuing to work for Ukraine, for our Victory. You preserve world-renowned scientific schools and the traditions of enlightenment, thereby providing a bright example of our resilience. Your recent successes demonstrate that no circumstances, no matter how challenging, can overshadow the glory of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. And your heroes, who defend our freedom and independence with weapons in hand, only multiply this glory.

"Glory to Karazin University!

"Glory to Ukraine! Heroes Glory!"
