Delegation from Bulgaria Visited the University
On April 1, 2021, Karazin University received a delegation from Bulgaria — representatives of the Technical University of Varna.
The delegation comprised the Vice-President of the Technical University of Varna Kiril Kirov and the Deputy Director of the Professional Gymnasium of Computer Modeling and Computer Systems Gesho Lyubenov.
During the visit, the delegation met with the Vice-President Anton Panteleimonov; the Head of the International Relations Department, Oleksandr Khyzhniak; the Head of the International Activity Organization, Oleksandr Fadieiev.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the higher education institutions.
Anton Panteleimonov told about the structure of the University, its students, the peculiarities of training specialists at Karazin University, stressed that Kharkiv University is the only Ukrainian higher education institution included in the top 500 world universities according to the QS World University Rankings—2021. In addition, he noted that Karazin University presents a wide range of sciences — from philosophy to nuclear physics.
The guests presented their higher education institution — the Technical University of Varna, which was founded in 1962. It was opened in order to solve problematic issues in the field of mechanical engineering. The educational institution focuses on technical specialties, as well as training of specialists in management, agriculture, energy, computer sciences.
The representatives of the Bulgarian delegation stressed that they aim to restore ties with Ukrainian colleagues.
The parties also defined the vectors of joint work — double degree program, creation of interdisciplinary specialties, participation in Erasmus+ programs, etc.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation.
