International Scientific and Practical Web Forum "Development of a Single Open Educational Space for Lifelong Learning" Held at the Education and Research Institute "UIPA"

From March 25 to 28, 2025, the seventh International Scientific and Practical Web Forum "Development of a Single Open Educational Space for Lifelong Learning" was held online at the Education and Research Institute "Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The forum was co-organized by various institutions, including the V. O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine), the Department of Science and Education of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (Kharkiv, Ukraine), the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine), the Association for the Development of Professional and Continuing Education (Kharkiv, Ukraine), the Institute of Modernization of Educational Content (Kyiv, Ukraine), and multiple universities and research centers across Ukraine.

International partners included:

  • Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (Portalegre, Portugal)

  • Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Słupsk, Poland)

  • Istanbul University (Istanbul, Turkey)

  • Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia)

  • Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad (Arad, Romania)

The forum was officially opened by Denys Kovalenko, Director of the Education and Research Institute "UIPA" of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, alongside representatives from the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University, and others.

Scientific Topics Covered

This year, the forum focused on the following key topics:

  • Adult education in the context of the dynamic development of the information society

  • Psychological foundations of building a unified open educational space for lifelong learning

  • Digital technologies and artificial intelligence in modern education

  • Transdisciplinary paradigm of digital transformation in education and pedagogy

  • Engineering and pedagogical education

  • University education: current trends

Throughout the forum, 30 presentations were delivered online, and approximately 100 reports were presented in offline sessions. Participants had a valuable opportunity to explore innovative developments in the educational information space, share experiences, and gain new insights and scientific ideas. A special focus was placed on the use of artificial intelligence in education and science, as well as the safe application of digital platforms and techniques.

The forum concluded with a summary of discussions and decisions on future collaborations among educational and research institutions. Recommendations were made regarding technological, informational, methodological, socio-communicative, and international aspects of organizing future web forums.
