Seminar on "Grant Opportunities for Scientific Collaboration" was Held at Karazin University

Continuing to advance Ukrainian science and education! A seminar on "Grant Opportunities for Scientific Collaboration" was held at Karazin University in a blended format with the support of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and thanks to the efforts of the university's Vice-Rectors Zarif Nazirov and Anton Panteleimonov.

More than 120 participants took part in the event. The opening remarks to the attendees were delivered by Boris Samorodov, the vice-rector of Karazin University, who expressed gratitude to everyone contributing to scientific work and supporting a high level of research activity in Ukraine. Currently, Karazin University is actively implementing 8 research projects that have become winners of the competition organized by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

Within the seminar, presentations were given by:

  • Andrii Kuznetsov, the First Deputy Executive Director for Grant Support of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Tetyana Berehova, the Head of the Grant Support Department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, on "National Research Foundation of Ukraine: New Grant Opportunities for Ukrainian Scientists."

  • Nadiia Naumova, the Chief Specialist of the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine" Department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, discussed "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine and Future Opportunities for Ukrainian Participants."

  • Oleksandr Moiseiev, the Chief Specialist of the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine" Department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, provided insights into the "Practical Aspects of Participation in the Horizon Europe Program: Searching for Opportunities, Partners, and Proposal Preparation for Competitions."

  • Maxim Kolisnyk, the Chief Specialist of the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine" Department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, covered "Digitization, Industry, and Space: General Characteristics, Results, and Opportunities."

Participants of the seminar received updated information on grant opportunities for researchers, the application process for obtaining grants, preparation for competitions, international scientific cooperation, and more. The event took the form of a productive discussion, where all interested individuals could ask questions.

The invited experts to Karazin also met with the university's rector, Tetyana Kaganovska, and agreements were reached regarding internships for Karazin representatives at the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) and the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine" of the NRFU to gain insight into the specifics of the project office's work, administering the process of preparing and submitting applications for funding from the NRFU and the "Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine."
