On December 10, 2024, the scientific seminar of the Center for Bulgarian Studies and Balkan Research named after Marina Drinova featured the renowned artist and art historian, researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Artur Izhevskiy.

The scholar delivered a report titled "Images of the Balkans in Galician Satire of the Late 19th – Early 20th Century" and presented his book "Galician Satire as a Phenomenon of Graphic Art in the Late 19th – Early 20th Century." The seminar was attended by students from the School of History — participants of the courses "History of European Culture of the Modern Era," "History of International Relations," and "International Cultural Cooperation"—for whom this event provided an opportunity to expand their knowledge in these disciplines.

Artur Valentynovych answered a series of questions related to the details of writing the book, as well as the peculiarities of depicting the images of Bulgarian authorities, people, and various historical events in the Galician press of the modernist era. For those who were unable to attend the online seminar, we offer the opportunity to watch the video recording.
