Educational events at Karazin University represent a magical blend of science, culture, and education, covering popular topics and addressing current issues!

Today, all interested individuals had the opportunity to delve into the topic of changing paradigms in Ukrainian memory culture of the Second World War, together with the head of the Northeastern Division of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Maria Takhtaulova.

At the beginning of the lecture, Ms. Maria noted how pleasant it was for her to be back within the walls of her Alma Mater and to have the honor of being not a student but a lecturer.

In the introductory part, the speaker discussed the specifics of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory's activities and outlined the theoretical framework of the lecture, including concepts such as historical policy and academic history, and collective and individual memory.

Throughout the lecture, participants examined practical examples and drew parallels between how Ukrainians remembered the Second World War in different periods and the factors influencing it. At the end of the event, all attendees had the opportunity to have their questions answered.

We are grateful to Ms. Maria for this captivating retrospective journey!
