Karazin University Successfully Completes Grant Project "Master's Course in Conference Interpreting"

In August 2023, the Department of Translation Studies named after Mykola Lukash at the School of Foreign Languages received a grant from the European Parliament to implement the international project "Master's Course in Conference Interpreting - V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University - 2023-2024 Academic Year" within the European Union's program to support the training of conference interpreters.

Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, the working group of the department, led by the Head of the department, Professor Oleksandr Rebrii, developed and implemented the "Conference Interpreting" course for second-level (Master's) students. In addition to the department's lecturers, colleagues from foreign educational institutions, including the University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Latvia, the University of Rzeszów (Poland), and the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne (Germany), were involved in the project. They gave guest lectures and conducted practical classes for the students together with our lecturers.

In June 2024, the students of the "Conference Interpreting" course successfully passed their final exams and received certificates, while the lecturers involved in the development and implementation of the course received official letters of appreciation.
