The space covers 2.5 thousand square meters. The majority of it is a radiation-protection shelter. It will ensure an uninterrupted educational process even during air raid alerts.

Karazin University takes on the role not only of an educational institution but also of a social one that works to preserve and restore human potential. This concerns not only physical losses, but also intellectual ones — the loss of opportunities for education, development, and scientific research, which this space is intended to compensate for and reimagine,” said Rector Tetyana Kaganovska.

The implementation of the project became possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

The new educational space creates conditions for offline learning, interaction, development of various target groups, and the implementation of the principle of lifelong learning. It will also host the updated interactive science museum “LandauCenter,” which serves as a platform for promoting scientific knowledge, developing critical thinking, and engaging people in research activities.
