In the Botanical Garden, an Alley of Sakura Trees has been Planted in Memory of the Fallen Members of the Karazin Community due to the Russian Invasion

Today, on Environmental Day, established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine in 1998, the Karazin University community joined the All-Ukrainian campaign "Forests for the Defenders of Ukraine".

In the botanical garden of Karazin University, 12 sakura trees have been planted in memory of at least 53 fallen members of the Karazin community due to the Russian armed invasion.

Planting sakura trees is just a small part of what we can do to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for our freedom.

The sakura alley will forever immortalize the feat of brave students, staff, and alumni of Karazin University who paid the highest price in this war.
