On July 18th, a cultural and humanitarian event called "Spiritual Weapon" took place in the Kharkiv region. It was part of the "When Memory Warms" program and solidarity actions of the international project "Echo of Destruction" by the creative association Slavuta (Ukraine). The event's main partners were the OKZ "Kharkiv Organizational and Methodological Center of Tourism" and Vovk Foundation Inc. (USA) — a foundation established by the descendants of the renowned public and political figure, fighter for Ukraine's independence, Righteous Among the Nations, and graduate of Kharkiv University, Fedor Ivanovych Vovk (alias Ivan Vovchuk, 1903–1979).

As part of the event, heroes-rescuers of the Kharkiv region were presented with an alternative energy source — a field kitchen-stove along with a set of food products from Vovk Foundation Inc. On the same day, traditional folk dishes were prepared on this stove to promote the gastronomic heritage of Sloboda Ukraine: Slobozhansky borscht (which included Olshansk fat, a recipe included in the regional list of intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine) and uzvar.

The Vovk Foundation Inc. also presented the VOVK information and humanitarian case to the Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History named after Academician P. T. Tronko at Karazin University. It included the biographical book "National Tribune. Life and Ideas of Ivan Vovchuk" (Kyiv, 2024), a collection of publicist works by Fedor Vovk "Convulsions of the Empire" (Kyiv, 2023), and a set of accessories for working in conditions of energy instability.

Deputy Director of the Tronko Center, Olga Vovk, thanked the donors for this assistance and presented them with the scientific reference edition "Engraved in the Chronicle of Science" (Kharkiv, 2020). This book includes biographies of other prominent Karazin University alumni, whose names are associated with various objects on Earth and in space, and features an entry about Fedor Vovk. Olga Vovk emphasized that the event would contribute to further study of the legacy of prominent Karazin University alumni and its representation worldwide, as well as invigorate cooperation with representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the USA.
