The Student of the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism, Yegor Shumayev was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the third degree (posthumously)
The head of the Kramatorsk District Administration, the head of the district military administration, Andriy Pankov, and the chief of the Kramatorsk Regional Territorial Defense Coordination Center and Security Service, Colonel Volodymyr Prytkov, presented a state award to the parents of the fallen defender Yegor Shumayev.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, for personal bravery and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for the selfless performance of military duty, Yegor Shumayev was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.
A third-year student of the School of Geology, Geography, Recreation, and Tourism, Yegor Shumayev volunteered to defend Kharkiv from the first days of the military aggression as part of the Territorial Defense Forces (TRO) and later bravely defended the Donbas as a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After sustaining severe injuries, doctors and parents fought for his life for several days, but the injuries proved incompatible with life.
Unfortunately, this war takes the lives of the best sons and daughters of Ukraine. Words are insufficient to fill the void left by the loss of our defenders.
Yegor was a true patriot of our Ukraine, and his memory will live on in our hearts! Heroes never die!
