3 march 2025 year

On February 28, a seminar on the LOUIS Framework was held for the academic community as part of the international EURIDICE project.

The event was opened by Kees Kouwenaar, former Secretary-General of the Aurora Universities Network. The next speaker was Francesca Scamardella, Associate Professor at the Department of Law at the University of Naples Federico II, where she teaches ethics and professional deontology, management, and business ethics. The discussion was continued by Olena Mykolenko, EURIDICE Project Manager at Karazin University. The seminar concluded with a presentation by Maksym Tomoshek, Vice Dean for Bachelor’s and Master’s Studies at Palacký University and President of the European Network for Clinical Legal Education.

The seminar focused on enhancing the impact of teaching through more active student engagement. The LOUIS Framework, presented at the event, aims to develop students' general and soft skills and can be integrated into course structures within Ukrainian educational institutions. In total, more than 70 participants from Ukrainian academic institutions attended the seminar.

LOUIS (Aurora Competence Framework) is a tool designed to help educators articulate and develop students' learning outcomes, general competencies, and social skills. It breaks down broad competencies, such as critical thinking, into more specific skills and abilities, describing competence development from lower to higher levels of qualification and complexity.
