Results of the University-wide Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 'Winter Startup Session 2023"

On December 22, 2023, the final of the annual youth entrepreneurship competition, "Winter Startup Session," took place, organized by the School of Economics of Karazin University.

Among more than 50 student projects, 6 teams were selected to present pitch decks of their business models.

According to the judges' votes, the first-place winners were:

  1. Life-saving bracelet team (Anna Masyuk, Yelizaveta Sychova, Maria Detkina).
  2. FakeProof team (Polina Knyazeva, Mykhailo Popov, Anna-Maria Hahalinska, Valeriy Medvedev).
  3. TTA (Time Travelers Art) team (Sofia Kravchenko, Amina Kozachenko, Oleksiy Pavlov).

The second-place team was Botanical Boutique (Elizabeth Onipka, Alexandra Stativa, Anastasia Papusha).

The third-place teams were Puppy Fam (Karina Horyanska, Polina Vaskovska, Arina Pyatnytsya) and JB (Alina Kyrychenko).

Additionally, the teams received nominations:

  • Best project idea: Life-saving bracelet, FakeProof, TTA (Time Travelers Art), Puppy Fam.
  • Best presentation: Life-saving bracelet, TTA (Time Travelers Art), Puppy Fam, JB.
  • Best business model: FakeProof, TTA (Time Travelers Art), Botanical Boutique, JB.

The judges for the "Winter Startup Session 2023" youth entrepreneurship competition were:

  • Alina Ilchenko, HR Assistant at the World Health Organization's representation in Ukraine.
  • Alexander Veremko, CEO of the INEGVA company.
  • Danilo Prus, graduate of the "Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Stock Exchange Activity" education program, resident of the YEP Entrepreneurial Club, YEP! Starter finalist.

The student project mentors were members of the Institute of Marketing, Management, and Entrepreneurship at the School of Economics: Tetiana Kutsenko, Halyna Tymokhova, Oksana Bolotna, Oleksiy Kim, and Marina Kudinova.

The winners of the competition advance to the All-Ukrainian Student Startup Battle (Winter 2024) as part of the "Entrepreneurial University" initiative from the academic business incubator YEP.
