THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 has been Announced: Karazin University has been Recognised in the World Sustainability Rankings

The British ranking agency Times Higher Education has released the results of the Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, which assess universities' contributions to sustainable development. This year's ranking includes 1,603 universities from around the world.

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was placed in the 1001–1500 band globally.

The University achieved the following results across individual Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 1. No Poverty — 401–600.
• SDG 14. Life Below Water — 401+.
• SDG 15. Life on Land — 401–600.
• SDG 16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions — 401–600.

The Sustainability Impact Ratings evaluate higher education institutions based on their contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted for the period through 2030. The assessment considers such criteria as sustainability-related research, socially oriented programmes, the University's impact on society, resource management, partnerships, and other indicators.
