Online Presentation of the Project "Implementation of a Pilot Trauma-Oriented Approach to Mental Health, Psychological Support, and Mediation"

On September 5, 2024, an online presentation of the project "Implementation of a Pilot Trauma-Oriented Approach to Mental Health, Psychological Support, and Mediation" took place within the framework of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) project, supported by the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, specifically under the direction of "Introducing and/or Strengthening Mediation in Communities of the Kharkiv Region."

The head of the UNICEF office in Kharkiv, Jinan Ramadan, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the project, particularly for the Kharkiv region at this time. The project manager, director of the "Karazin Business School" Institute, Volodymyr Rodchenko, also presented the main goals and objectives of the project, highlighting the significance of mediation for the development of a modern healthy society.

The coordinator of the mediation direction, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Administration of the "Karazin Business School" Institute, Yuliya Kvitka, provided an overview of this direction of the project and details about the developed course, explaining its purpose, target audience, and how the training will be conducted.

The project trainers, including Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Administration of the "Karazin Business School" Institute Olena Parkhomenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of the School of Law Viktor Savchenko, lecturer of the Department of Management and Administration of the "Karazin Business School" Institute Kateryna Andreeva, Doctor of Economics and international mediator Kristina Babenko, mediator of the Center for Law and Mediation, GISMAOVK coordinator, GBV project coordinator, UNHCR, Liga zadusevne zdravie (Slovakia) Kateryna Voloshyna, and head of the Center for Law and Mediation, managing partner of GISMAOVK, honorary member of the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine Svitlana Petrova, presented their module. The trainers explained what they would be doing during the training and the advantages the course would offer participants.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants from various communities in the Kharkiv region. We sincerely thank everyone who joined and look forward to seeing you in our course!
