Educational Visit of Karazin University to the East Bavarian Technical University Amberg-Weiden (Germany)

From July 24th to July 28th, 2023, an educational visit took place at the East Bavarian Technical University Amberg-Weiden as part of the implementation of the Erasmus+ project "Integration and Adaptation of Foreign Students/INTERADIS."

During the visit, the participants studied the experience of adapting and integrating foreign students into the cultural, ethnic, and social environment of the host country, as well as the tools for developing pedagogical skills regarding working with international students. They participated in a "world café" to familiarize themselves with the projects carried out at the East Bavarian Technical University Amberg-Weiden, which representatives from Ukrainian higher education institutions could potentially be involved in, along with various training sessions. 

In a meeting with the Mayor of Amberg, the delegation representatives were introduced to the history and development priorities of the city, the organization of reception for Ukrainian citizens due to the Russian aggression, and the adaptation and integration of Ukrainians. They also attended a tour of the City Hall.

A workshop on sustainability was conducted by the representative of Hultgren Nachhaltigkeitsberatung UG and the project partner, Oliver Schmidt. The representative from the project Bayhost presented opportunities for Ukrainian researchers.

All partner universities from Ukraine participated in the educational visit. Karazin University was represented by the delegation of the School of Business, which is the project team of INTERADIS.
