The summer training internship for students of the Educational and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology "

After the third year of studies, students of the Educational and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology" usually have a summer training internship. It helps the students take another important step - choosing a department where they will continue their future research work. This is both an exciting and challenging decision, so the students have the opportunity to interact with leading scientists from both the Educational and Research Institute "School of Physics and Technology" as well as with foreign scientists during these three weeks.

This year, lecture materials were presented by a wide range of scientists. As usual, they were from the National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology" and the School itself, as well as from the universities of Geneva (Université de Genève), Linz (Center for Surface and Nanoanalytics, Johannes Kepler University Linz), Greifswald (Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics), Krakow (AGH University of Science and Technology), Kyiv (State Institution "A. Kolomiychenko Institute of Otolaryngology").

Additionally, the students had the opportunity to meet with the Executive Director of the European educational network "FuseNet" in the field of thermonuclear fusion and a senior engineer from the State Enterprise "Nuclear Power Plant "Energoatom."

Each meeting ended with discussions where the students had the chance to ask questions, clarify interesting points, and receive specific recommendations.

I believe that the knowledge gained will inspire students and help them choose their own scientific path, and they will not get lost among such a large number of roads or even highways of science.
