Scientific Seminar Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Renowned Historian-Slavist, Professor of Karazin University Heorhii Popov

On January 21, 2025, the regular scientific seminar of the Marin Drinov Center for Bulgarian and Balkan Studies took place, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of renowned historian, one of the founders of the Kharkiv School of Bulgarian Studies, Professor Heorhii Mykolaiovych Popov.

The scholar’s students — Associate Professor Serhii Strashniuk and Professor Mykhailo Stanchev — shared fascinating details about the academic and teaching activities of the Slavist. The seminar was attended by scholars from other cities in Ukraine as well as students of Karazin University.
