Representatives of the School of Philology, Associate Professor Sofiia Butko and Associate Professor Inna Litvinova, have joined the implementation of the KulFon project, "Teaching Phonetics Through Culture." This initiative is being carried out as part of the cooperation between the University of Łódź (Poland) and Karazin University.
The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
Implementation period: December 2, 2024 – December 1, 2025. The project's goal is to create an e-book with phonetic exercises designed for adult Ukrainians learning Polish as a foreign language. The book will be supplemented with texts from Polish popular culture to make the learning process more engaging and effective.
This project is innovative as it involves collaboration between Polish and Ukrainian linguists specializing in the descriptive phonetics of both languages.
Karazin researchers are working on the theoretical description of the Ukrainian phonetic system in comparison with the Polish one, aiming to facilitate the work of teachers of Polish as a foreign language.
