At the scientific and practical center "Karazin ReHab," Professor Vira Kolesnichenko delivered a lecture on "Fundamentals of Rehabilitation for Musculoskeletal Injuries and Disorders."
Staff from the School of Medicine, interns, future doctors, and physical therapists explored modern aspects of rehabilitation techniques and protocols. A lively discussion arose regarding physical therapy for the consequences of combat injuries.
The training continued with a practical workshop titled "Introduction to Developmental Kinesiology: Testing and Therapeutic Exercises for Sagittal Stabilization." Alina Yakovska, a lecturer from the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation and head of the rehabilitation department at the Kharkiv Regional Cardiology Center, demonstrated the nuances of kinesiology testing for patients of various ages. Students had the opportunity to practice stabilization therapy techniques on each other using modern equipment and the neuromuscular activation method.
The initiative to establish the "Karazin ReHab Scientific and Practical Rehabilitation Center" is implemented by the NGO "Association of Alumni, Professors, and Friends of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University" under the technical administration of ISAR Ednannia and with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine. It is financed by the European Union under the "EU4Recovery — Empowering Communities in Ukraine" project, along with financial support from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
