International Mother Language Day: the university celebrates
International Mother Language Day is celebrated on February 21 every year.
This holiday is designed to draw attention to the importance of preserving and developing linguistic diversity in the world. It reminds us of the need to take care of our native language in order to pass it on to the next generations.
The mother tongue is a key component of the cultural heritage of every nation. The Ukrainian language plays an important role in the formation of the national identity and cultural development of Ukraine. Thanks to its extraordinary melodiousness and expressiveness, it has always been and remains one of the sources of inspiration for poets and writers.
The Ukrainian language is one of the most widespread among the Slavic languages, it reflects the rich and complex historical path of our nation. Ukrainians defended the right to communicate freely in their native language. But today we are once again forced to defend ourselves and fight so that our holy language resounds in every corner of the free Ukrainian land.
Let's respect and learn our native language in order to keep it alive and indelible, so that the beauty and richness of the Ukrainian language can be heard by the whole world!
