International Day of Education of the United Nations

24 january 2025 year

In 2018, the United Nations General Assembly declared January 24 as the International Day of Education to recognize its role in achieving peace and development. Quality education is the fourth Sustainable Development Goal and one of the most important tools for achieving all 17 goals.

Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is a tool for self-development, a key to a successful career, and an opportunity to change the world for the better. In times of war, education becomes even more crucial, as it helps preserve our identity, strengthen national consciousness, and unite society.

Karazin University is one of Ukraine’s leading universities, with a history that dates back to the distant past. Today, under extremely challenging conditions, the university continues its mission and emphasizes the importance of uninterrupted learning. Despite shelling and power outages, our teachers and students persist in studying and working online. This proves that our pursuit of knowledge is unbreakable.

We continue to grow, implement new technologies, and adapt to modern challenges. Our students have the opportunity to study in cutting-edge programs, communicate with leading scientists, and participate in international projects.

Students represent the future of Ukraine, and we are doing everything possible to provide quality education and create opportunities for young people to realize their potential. Together, we can overcome all difficulties and build a better future for the next generations.
