From December 16 to 20, the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy hosted the fifth International School of Pedagogical Mastery, "Education 4.0 and Pedagogical Excellence," organized by the Department of Information and Computer Technologies and Mathematics and the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies.
This year’s special theme was “The Digital Compass of a Modern Specialist.”
Approximately 300 educators, trainers, researchers, and administrators registered for the event, with 90 to 130 participants attending online master classes.
The school was supported by the Public Union "Association for the Development of Professional and Lifelong Education," the project "Strengthening the Capacity of Ukrainian Academic Workers in Innovative Pedagogical-Psychological Education and Research" implemented by Masaryk University (Brno) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Erasmus+ project CRED4TEACH ("Microcredentials Based on MOOCs for Professional Development of Educators"), and Erasmus+ project UA-Talent-UP ("Development of Entrepreneurial, Creative, and Intercultural Competencies for Quality Teaching in Ukraine").
The school began with welcoming speeches from:
Maryna Vasyliyeva, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy, National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ UA-Talent-UP project, and professor.
Oleksandr Kupriyanov, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogics Academy, National Coordinator of the Erasmus+ CRED4TEACH project, and professor.
Roman Nesterenko, Deputy Head of the International Relations Department, who welcomed the participants and international speakers, wishing them productive work.
Professor Tetyana Bondarenko, the school’s coordinator and faculty member of the Department of Information and Computer Technologies and Mathematics, introduced participants to the school’s program and organizational details.
Throughout the week, participants attended master classes delivered by international and Ukrainian experts.
Daryna Avramenko, Senior Talent Development Specialist at EPAM, presented on "Career Development Paths in EPAM: A Modern Perspective."
Lenka Hulova, a professor of Social Pedagogy at Masaryk University, Brno, spoke on "Current Trends in Teacher Training in the Czech Republic."
Professor Jurgen Koeberlein-Kerler, General Director of IBK Ingenieurbuero Koeberlein GmbH & Co.KG, introduced his book, "Mastering the Energy Transition."
Professor Olha Luchaninova, leading researcher at the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine, conducted a workshop on "Educator 5.0: A Proactive Step Beyond Education 4.0."
Juan Manuel Castro Carracedo, Senior Lecturer at the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Spain, and an Erasmus+ UA-Talent-UP participant, presented on "Building Digital Foundations: A Curriculum Blueprint for Primary Learners."
The focus was on "Modernization of Educational Programs for Vocational Training Using AI Technologies," presented by:
Yulia Davydova, Deputy Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center for Vocational Education in Kharkiv Region.
Olena Didenko, Methodologist.
Professor Tetyana Bondarenko summarized the topic, "The Digital Compass of a Modern Specialist: Challenges and Realities of Today," and concluded the event.
Participants gained exposure to new platforms, services, and advanced AI and digital technologies in education. They were also encouraged to complete individual assignments and submit them to the organizing committee.
As a result of the program, all attendees will receive certificates and invaluable experience in emerging educational and scientific trends. They are now better equipped to adopt new developments from international higher education institutions.
