The small planet is named after Vadym Kaydash, director of the Scientific Research Institute of Astronomy

On January 16, 2023, by the decision of the working group on the nomenclature of small bodies of the International Astronomical Union, the minor planet numbered 30769 was named after the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Astronomy Vadym Kaydash — Kaydash.

Ukrainian astronomer Vadym Kaydash is a specialist in observing solar system bodies to study their surface properties and mineralogical composition.

The minor planet (30769) Kaydash was discovered by the American astronomer Brian Skiff in 1984 at the Anderson Mesa Observatory.
