A Master's Student from the University of York Visited Karazin University
On October 31, 2024, Jack Daniel Redman, a student from the University of York (United Kingdom), visited Karazin University.
The purpose of his visit was to exchange academic experiences between the communities of the University of York and Karazin University, discuss current collaboration outcomes, and explore further partnership opportunities between higher education institutions in Ukraine and the United Kingdom within the framework of the "UK-Ukraine Twinning Initiative."
During the visit, Jack Daniel Redman met with Vice-Rector Zarif Nazirov and Karazin's Twinning Program Coordinator Oleksandr Kryvtsov.
One of the main topics discussed was the role of research and educational cooperation with the University of York in sustaining and developing Karazin University during and after the war.
In the discussions, representatives from both universities highlighted the importance and necessity of engaging students in international cooperation in the field of education to ensure the resilience of education at both national and global levels.
Following this, Jack Daniel Redman met with the Head of the Student Council of Karazin University, Mykyta Kucherov, and representatives of the student self-governance.
In a friendly and informal setting, students exchanged experiences and shared promising plans for organizing joint activities between the academic communities of the University of York and Karazin University.
