Roundtable Discussion: "Updating Teacher Education Programs in the Context of the 'New Ukrainian School' Reform and the Challenges of War"

On December 19, 2024, the Education and Research Institute "Academy of Teaching" organized an important expert discussion focused on updating teacher education programs in the context of the "New Ukrainian School" reform and the challenges of war. The event provided a platform for constructive dialogue among experts, government representatives, and Ukrainian universities, aiming to improve teacher education and enhance its effectiveness.

The discussion centered on the structure and content of educational programs, accreditation specifics for programs in the "Secondary Education" specialty, successful international practices in teacher training, and the challenges facing Ukrainian education during wartime. Additionally, speakers emphasized the need to equip future teachers with skills to address learning loss diagnostics and recovery, apply trauma-informed approaches, and actively implement inclusive practices to mitigate the adverse effects of the war.
