Competition for Participation in the Practical Training Program "Basic Mediation Course" and the Specialized Mediation Course "Social Mediation in the Community

We invite you to participate in the competition for a practical training program "Basic Mediation Course" and the specialized mediation course "Social Mediation in the Community."

This program is implemented as part of the project "Introduction of a Pilot Trauma-Oriented Approach to Mental Health, Psychological Support, and Mediation" under the UNICEF project, supported by the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

This program is suitable for:

• Social workers, lawyers, and psychologists from social protection institutions in Kharkiv region communities;
• Heads and members of NGOs in the social protection sector of Kharkiv region communities;
• Representatives of local government bodies.

Key selection criteria:

• The participant must work in a social protection institution in Kharkiv region (priority communities: Bohodukhivska, Valkivska, Krasnokutska, Izumska, Balakliyska, Kehychivska, Shevchenkivska, Lozivska, Pervomaiska, Pisochynska, Kharkivska, Chuhuivska);
• The participant must represent a municipal non-profit organization or NGO in the field of social protection or a local government body;
• Participant's motivation (why should you be part of this program?);
• The ability and willingness to apply the knowledge and skills gained in practical activities;
• Readiness to actively participate in the training for 12.5 weeks (online part) and 2 weeks (offline part). The program includes intensive online classes three times a week (Tuesday and Thursday from 15:00 to 17:30 and Saturday from 10:00 to 12:30);
• Willingness to participate in supervisions during service implementation and provide information for service evaluation within the project;
• Availability of technical resources (internet, computer or laptop, webcam, microphone) that enable full active participation in online training.

Main program components:

• Online training;
• Online and offline simulations (practice);
• Individual tasks;
• Materials throughout the training;
• Mentorship support;
• Supervisions;
• Networking, etc.

Program start date: October 1, 2024.

Educational offline events are scheduled for the second half of January 2025.

Participation in the program is free of charge (expenses for transportation, hotel accommodation, and meals for participants in offline events are covered by the project).

The number of participants is limited.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive certificates.

Registration is open until September 25, 2024.
