Karazinians — Winners of the Work Competition at the All-Ukrainian Winter School on Quantum Computing QHack UA Bootcamp 2024

From January 16 to February 4, 2024, the All-Ukrainian Winter School on Quantum Computing, QHack UA Bootcamp 2024, took place for students and professionals in the field of quantum computing. The training occurred in a hybrid format at the Ukrainian Catholic University.

A team consisting of two students from the Institute of Physics and Technology, Ilya Lukin and Mykola Luhanko, and a graduate of the School of Physics, Oleksandr Borysenko, secured the first place in the competition during this school. The theme of their project was the "Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) algorithm for financial portfolio analysis."

Currently, this team is participating in the global hackathon QHack (February 8–22, 2024) under the name "Kharkiv team." Congratulations to the winners and best wishes for continued success!
