Karazin University Won the European Union Program Competition "Digital Europe"
Karazin University has achieved victory for the first time in the European Union competition "Digital Europe" and has joined the extensive project "European Inclusive Education for the Digital Society, Social Innovation, and Global Citizenship" — "EURopean Inclusive education for Digital society, social Innovation and global CitizEnship" (EURIDICE).
The four-year EURIDICE project envisions creating a highly effective digital educational ecosystem for remote and inclusive learning, elevating the EU's modern digital expertise environment to a new level of quality.
Among the project's goals are the development and implementation of a new joint interdisciplinary master's program "Digital Society, Social Innovation, and Global Citizenship" (120 ECTS credits); training sessions for the digital skills development of teachers, and much more. In addition to benefiting students and schools, the project will also involve professionals and business leaders.
EURIDICE boasts an incredibly powerful consortium of twenty-five partner organizations from the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Iceland, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Portugal, France, Ghana, Malaysia, and Greece. The project coordinator is the Center for International Research at the Free University of Amsterdam.
In January 2024, an inaugural meeting for all consortium participants will take place, after which the first stage of project implementation will commence.
Various schools of the university will be involved in the project's implementation. The project's duration is 48 months.
