Karazin University has opened a new clinical base at the State Institution "Institute of Pathology of the Spine and Joints named after Prof. M.I. Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine"

On November 13, 2023, with the participation of the Rector of Karazin University, Tetyana Kaganovska, the Vice-Rector Anatoliy Babichev, and the Dean of the School of Medicine, Tetyana Lyadova, the official opening of the new clinical base of the School of Medicine took place at the State Institution "Institute of Pathology of the Spine and Joints named after Prof. M.I. Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine."

Guests were welcomed by the Institute's Director Stanislav Bondarenko, Deputy Director for research Inga Fedotova, Chief Doctor Mykola Lizogub, and Deputy Director for administrative and economic affairs Murtaz Bigvaga.

This event of national significance represents the union of one of the best classical universities with a leading scientific research institution in the field of orthopedics and traumatology into a single team of like-minded individuals. The goal is to create unique conditions for the education of future doctors, conduct joint scientific research, and establish the best postgraduate education school for orthopedic traumatologists and doctors of other specialties in Ukraine.

The official opening of the Karazin University clinical base at the State Institution "Institute of Pathology of the Spine and Joints named after Prof. M.I. Sytenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" occurred simultaneously with the acceptance of a friendship, partnership, and joint scientific research agreement. The event unfolded in an incredibly friendly and warm atmosphere among like-minded individuals.

Sincere gratitude is extended to the institute's administration for the warm welcome, acceptance of the educational initiatives of the university, and willingness to collaborate. It is believed that today, the two leading research institutions in the region have taken the first small but very significant step towards a great future.
