Karazin University Thanks the Creators of the Song Dear Kharkiv for Their Help in Restoring the University
On August 22, the Kharkiv Media Hub hosted the presentation of the song Dear Kharkiv, dedicated to the resilience of Kharkiv residents who continue to live, grow, and move closer to Victory despite their proximity to the enemy and constant Russian shelling. This song is a call to the world to once again focus attention not only on Kharkiv but also on all Ukrainian cities.
The song was written by the prominent Ukrainian scientist, Karazin University alumnus, and poet-songwriter Borys Hrynyov, along with composer Mykhailo Nekrasov. The arrangement was crafted by composer Dmytro Konovalov and the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the direction of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Zhanovych Antonyuk. The voices and emotions in the song were brought to life by EL Kravchuk and two children's choirs from Kharkiv — the Vesnyani Holosy and Spivochi Ptashky choirs, which are part of the Kharkiv Regional Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity.
Dear Kharkiv has a significant purpose: to help the city thrive. Many important landmarks in Kharkiv, including Karazin University, have been damaged by continuous missile attacks. "If we are to rebuild the city, we should start with its 'brain.' Therefore, we decided to begin with the educational institution and call on everyone to join the effort to restore the buildings of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University," said Borys Hrynyov.
Karazin University extends its gratitude to everyone involved in creating this song and to all those who are helping the university and our beloved Kharkiv endure! Let's unite our efforts to achieve the most important goal together!
All proceeds from the views of the music video and streams of the song on various platforms will also be donated to the restoration of the university. You can support the restoration of Karazin University's buildings by following this link.
