On February 21, 2025, Karazin University hosted participants of the EdCamp Ukraine mentoring circle strategy session. Among the guests were educational leaders involved in organizing educational events across Ukraine, including regional (un)conferences.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Rector Anatolii Babichev introduced the guests to the history of Karazin University. Vice-Rector Liliia Hrynevych presented the activities of the Education and Research Institute "Teachers' Academy", outlining its mission, key areas of work, and opportunities for teachers’ professional growth.

She stated:
"The turbulent times we live in, a world that increasingly surprises us with the loss of values — where victims and aggressors can be equated — present us with new challenges. The role of universities, educators, and education as a whole is growing immensely."

Liliia Hrynevych emphasized that teachers are key figures in shaping a society capable of critical thinking, maintaining moral principles, and building the future based on humanism and responsibility.

Oleksandr Elkin, Head of EdCamp Ukraine, proposed a collaboration with Karazin University to develop joint certification programs for teachers’ professional development.

Participants agreed that such a partnership would strengthen the synergy between academic excellence and innovation, opening new opportunities for teachers' professional growth.

Additionally, guests visited the Museum of Archaeology, the University History Museum, and the Central Scientific Library.

Karazin University remains committed to supporting educational initiatives aimed at advancing teacher education and implementing innovations in teacher training.
