Karazin University continues cooperation with Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services

On June 9, 2023, thanks to the renewal of contractual relations with the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services, Karazin University resumed the work on advanced training of the relevant category of social work specialists and other social service workers from nine village and city councils of Kharkiv region in the specialty 231 "Social Work".

The educational process for the relevant category of local social service workers will be carried out until June 26, 2023 at the Center for Postgraduate Education with the participation of research and teaching staff of the Department of Sociology of Management and Social Work of the School of Sociology of the University: Head of the Department, Professor Iryna Yevdokymova, Associate Professors Olena Plakhova and Svitlana Sadrytska.

At the inaugural lesson, Mykhailo Tatarinov, Director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, introduced the students to the specifics of the training, answered numerous questions from the participants and conducted an introductory evaluation for them.

As part of the advanced training, during lectures and practical classes, social workers from the relevant structures of local councils in Kharkiv region will master the issues of regulatory and legal support for social work with families, children and youth, innovative methods and technologies of social work, case management technologies, psychological assistance to war victims, the latest principles of social design and fundraising in social work under martial law.

Based on the results of training and successful completion of the curriculum, students will receive certificates of the established standard.
