Karazin University Among the Kharkiv Region’s Leaders on Ukraine’s Talent Hubs Map

The President of Ukraine’s Foundation for Support of Education, Science and Sports has published the “August 2026” Map of Ukraine’s Talent Hubs, according to which Karazin University holds leading positions in the Kharkiv region in terms of the quality of education.

“Talent hubs are university ecosystems featuring strong educational and research programmes, innovative infrastructure, links with employers and international partners, as well as sports and youth communities. The Foundation’s team identified the hubs in two stages based on clearly defined criteria,” the Foundation said in a statement.

Accordingly, Karazin University holds leading positions in several areas, including:

• Research certification, with three University departments recognised for outstanding research performance: the O. I. Akhiezer Department of Nuclear and High-Energy Physics, the Department of International E-Commerce and Hotel and Restaurant Business, and the Department of Political Sociology.
• Exemplary accreditation, with three Karazin educational programmes recognised: Modern Trends in Fundamental Chemistry and Their Applied Potential (PhD), Tourism (Master’s), and Sociology (PhD).

The Talent Hubs Map also places particular emphasis on sports infrastructure, with Karazin University leading in five sports:

• fencing;
• futsal;
• MMA and combat sports;
• tennis;
• athletics.

The Talent Hubs Map helps school students, prospective applicants, and parents navigate new educational pathways. For students, lecturers, and researchers, it provides an opportunity to discover programmes, laboratories, and research teams. For businesses and international partners, it serves as a guide for finding specialists, research projects, and potential partnerships.

The map was presented by Olha Budnyk, Adviser and Commissioner to the President of Ukraine on matters related to the President of Ukraine’s Foundation for Support of Education, Science and Sports.
