Karazin University Conducts Training Sessions on "Modern Methods in Cell and Molecular Biology"

Karazin University offers a unique opportunity to attend training sessions on "Modern Methods in Cell and Molecular Biology" at the education and scientific laboratory for biomedical research "Karazin BioMed."

These practical skill training sessions in the field of cell and molecular biology are designed to deepen knowledge and skills, and to provide additional competencies for higher education students in the following specialties:

• 091 "Biology and Biochemistry"
• 162 "Biotechnology and Bioengineering"
• 224 "Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Technologies"

The training sessions are also suitable for laboratory diagnostics specialists, veterinarians, biotechnologists, and researchers from public and private institutions who implement cell and molecular biology methods, and molecular diagnostics methods in the work of research and diagnostic laboratories.

ECTS Credits: 6.0 | Total Hours: 180

The training sessions are conducted using the most advanced educational and research equipment and consumables from leading global brands at the "Karazin BioMed" education and scientific laboratory for biomedical research.

The training sessions will cover:

• Fundamentals of working in Biosafety Level 1 and 2 laboratories
• Basics of human cell culture
• Methods for analyzing human cells using laser confocal microscopy
• Real-time PCR methods
• Methods for determining gene expression profiles on DNA microchips
• Immunological methods for diagnosing human diseases
• Methods for plasmid and viral transfection of human cells
• Genome editing methods using the CRISPR-Cas9 system
