Karazin University Signed Dual Degree Program Agreement in Business Administration with the University of Murcia (Spain)
On January 8, 2025, a ceremonial online signing took place to formalize the dual degree program in Business Administration at the undergraduate level between Karazin University and the University of Murcia. The program will be implemented at Karazin University through the Education and Research Institute "Karazin School of Business." This agreement is the result of two years of collaborative work between the School of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia and Karazin School of Business.
José Luján, the Rector of the University of Murcia, led the signing ceremony via videoconference with representatives from Karazin University. Karazin University was represented by Vice-Rector Boris Samorodov, Director of Karazin School of Business Volodymyr Rodchenko, and Julia Kvitka, responsible for international cooperation at Karazin School of Business. The University of Murcia was represented by Rector José Luján, Vice-Rector for Internationalization Pascual Cantos, Dean of the School of Economics and Business Samuel Baishauli, and Deputy Dean for International Relations Marcos Anton.
This agreement will allow five third-year students from Karazin School of Business to study for an academic year at the University of Murcia, while third-year students from the University of Murcia will be able to study at Karazin University. Upon completion of the program, students will receive two diplomas in Business Administration. Given the current war context in Ukraine, students from the University of Murcia will carry out this mobility online.
Professor Marcos Anton, Deputy Dean for International Relations and promoter of the agreement, explained that this agreement is the result of a collaboration that began in June 2022, a few months after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. The effort is part of Ukrainian universities’ actions to establish connections with other European educational and scientific institutions. The goal is to launch this mobility program at both universities by the upcoming September.
