Karazin University participated in the second International Twinning UK-Ukraine Conference "The Role of Universities in Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine"
On July 4-5, the second International Twinning UK-Ukraine Conference "The Role of Universities in Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine" took place at Vistula University (Warsaw, Poland) within the framework of the "Unity Initiative" program.
During the event, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, shared the challenges faced by Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) during the crisis, particularly regarding the sustainable operation of universities in winter. He also emphasized the regional differences in the working conditions of HEIs and the urgent need for assistance.
Olga Budnyk, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on the Presidential Fund for Support of Education, Science, and Sports, spoke about the opportunities provided by the "Unity Initiative" program for Ukrainian students, teachers, and researchers.
Karazin University was represented at the event by Anastasiia Bozhenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Ukrainian Studies at the School of Philosophy.
Representatives of partner Ukrainian HEIs shared their success stories implemented within the framework of cooperation with British partners, particularly regarding dual degree programs, joint projects, and initiatives.
The main theme of the panel discussion was the role and contribution of educational institutions in the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine.
