Karazin University futsal players successfully performed at the Umag Nations Cup tournament

On January 17-21, 2023, competitions were held in Slovenia as part of the Umag Nations Cup international representative tournament among junior national teams. Three students of the futsal section of Karazin University played at this tournament: Andriy Yelishev and Vladyslav Tkachenko, freshmen of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems, as well as former student of the Educational and Scientific Institute "Faculty of Physics and Technology" Ihor Peletskyi, who is currently studying abroad.

The Ukrainians started with a draw with the French team (4:4), then defeated the hosts of the tournament, the Slovenian team, with a score of 2:1, and lost to the Italians in the final match (2:7).

The games were held as part of preparations for the Junior Euro-2023.

Andriy and Vladyslav scored goals in this tournament.
