Day of Remembrance for Children who were Killed as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation

4 june 2026 year

Every year on June 4, Ukraine bows its head in deep sorrow, commemorating the Day of Remembrance for Children who were killed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. This is a day of the most profound pain, which cannot be measured, comprehended, or healed by time—the pain of lives cut short.

War takes away the most precious and brightest things. Behind every figure in official statistics are unfulfilled dreams, untouched toys, unwritten school essays, and parents’ hearts broken forever. Brutal Russian aggression has stolen from these children their fundamental right—the right to life and a happy future.

Today we mourn the memory of Ukrainian children whose lives were tragically cut short in their own beds or on playgrounds during enemy missile strikes. Those who died during evacuation, trying with their families to escape the horrors of war. Children who became innocent victims of occupation.

Their memory is not only our shared indescribable grief. It is a powerful reminder to the entire civilized world of the true face of this war. It is our absolute duty to continue the fight in order to protect those children who today are forced to hide in shelters, and to do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to inevitable justice.

Eternal and bright memory to every little angel of Ukraine.

We remember. We will never forgive.
