Ukrainian Statehood Day

28 july 2022 year

On July 28, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.

The history of our statehood goes back to the founding of Kyiv. July 28 is the day of the baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine by Prince Volodymyr the Great, which gave impetus to the flowering of Ukrainian statehood and became evidence of the civilizational choice of Kyivan Rus.

We are the descendants of an ancient powerful country in the center of Europe, where the history of Ukrainian statehood, culture and identity began over a thousand years ago.

Our people are connected through ages and generations. Now we are witnessing the bravery of our Cossack warriors, their numerous feats and wisdom in battle.

Today, we not only celebrate the emergence of statehood, but, like our ancestors, unite for its preservation, protect the national interests of Ukraine, territorial integrity and historical justice.

Ukraine was, is and will be! We will defend our statehood, sovereignty and independence!
