The University Celebrates St. Nicholas Day
Today, Ukrainians are celebrating Saint Nicholas Day for the first time according to the new Julian calendar.
Saint Nicholas Day is particularly cherished by children who eagerly await for the Miracle Worker to descend from the heavens overnight and leave gifts under their pillows. As we grow older, we understand that the main value of this holiday lies in acts of selflessness, generosity, and mutual assistance.
Orthodox believers believe that Saint Nicholas, one of the most revered saints, aids all travelers, sailors, as well as beggars, the sick, and children – those in need of assistance.
May this festive season bring you warmth in communication and tranquility, pleasant encounters, and surprises. May Saint Nicholas watch over our soldiers, lead them to victory, and bring them safely home. May he bring prosperity and understanding to every home!
