Medical Workers’ Day: Karazin Community Celebrates

27 july 2026 year

On 27 July, Ukraine celebrates Medical Workers’ Day, a professional holiday honouring those who dedicate their lives to protecting the most precious values — human life and health.

Today, the work of healthcare professionals is of particular importance. Amid the full-scale war, they continue to fulfil their professional duty, save lives, and provide medical care under extremely challenging circumstances, remaining a remarkable example of professionalism, responsibility, compassion, and resilience.

V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University takes great pride in its medical community. The School of Medicine and the Second School of Medicine educate future physicians and healthcare professionals by combining long-standing educational traditions, cutting-edge research, and practice-oriented training. It is here that a new generation of medical professionals is being prepared to meet today's challenges and uphold the highest standards of the medical profession.

We sincerely thank all healthcare professionals for their dedication to their profession, selfless service, resilience, and daily care for others. We extend our special congratulations to the faculty members, students, and alumni of the School of Medicine and the Second School of Medicine of Karazin University, whose knowledge and commitment continue to strengthen Ukraine's healthcare system.

We wish you good health, strength, inexhaustible energy, professional success, prosperity, and new achievements. May your noble work always be met with gratitude, respect, and confidence in a peaceful future for Ukraine.
