Karazin University Delegation Takes Part in the Meeting of the Steering Committee of the International Research Project "IRP IDEATE"

On October 27-28, 2021, a delegation from Karazin University headed by the University President, Tetyana Kaganovska, took part in a meeting of the Steering Committee of the International Research Project "Development of Detector Systems for Accelerator Experiments and Technologies for Accelerator Physics" (IRP IDEATE).

The international research project “IRP IDEATE” was launched in 2015. Its characteristic feature is wide involvement of French and Ukrainian undergraduate and postgraduate students in conducting joint research on the development of new detector systems and innovative acceleration technologies, for example, for medical use.

During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Paris-Saclay University (Orsay, France), in particular, with the Vice-President for International Realtions, Professor Sandrine Lacombe, to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation between the Paris-Saclay University and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in order to implement joint projects within the European Union Erasmus+ program.

The meeting took place at the Irène-Joliot Curie Physics of Two Infinities Lab (IJCLab ) at the Paris-Saclay University. The delegation also visited the SOLEIL Synchrotron Radiation Facility (Saclay), the Orsay Proton Therapy Center, and the main experimental installations of the Irène-Joliot Curie Physics of Two Infinities Lab.

The visit of Karazin University delegation was supported by the French Embassy in Ukraine.
