Karazin REHAB

Karazin REHAB Training and Therapy Centre will operate in the rehabilitation field in three areas:

1. Educational space – educational activities in the field of advanced training, undergraduate and postgraduate education for specialists in rehabilitation, physical therapy, psychological rehabilitation and psychotherapy.

The advantages of the space are: highly qualified teachers of Karazin University, a full cycle of training from the school desk to the specialist's office with support throughout the entire professional career, wide involvement of invited well-known experts in the field in teaching, innovative educational technologies (virtual patient, simulation technologies, web support of the educational process, etc.

In addition to the main activities of the educational space: in response to a request or according to a plan, educational events for non-medical professionals, including the organisation of unscheduled group events for employees of enterprises in the Karazin REHAB educational space or on-site. An indicative, but not exhaustive, list of additional educational activities is provided in the next section.

2. Treatment and diagnostic space - provision of commercial medical rehabilitation services: activities based on the developed unique comprehensive programmes of mental and physical rehabilitation of military and civilian victims of hostilities (with the involvement of government programmes, grants, funds); rehabilitation programmes and protocols, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention for patients with peacetime diseases (neurological, traumatological, therapeutic, surgical, neurological, cardiological, gynaecological, etc.

Scaling up the project – opening a medical advisory centre on the basis of Karazin REHAB – an outpatient healthcare facility with a laboratory and diagnostic department to provide medical care to the public, involving the best specialists, scientists and clinicians of the School of Medicine in advisory work.

3. Scientific space – conducting research in the field of psychological and physical rehabilitation at the expense of the state budget, commissioned by pharmaceutical companies, medical and rehabilitation equipment companies, within the framework of international clinical trials, by obtaining grants and testing innovative developments in practice with the provision of scientifically sound conclusions.

The project is scaled up to certify Karazin REHAB laboratories and treatment departments to conduct clinical trials of medicines at all stages of their development and implementation in routine clinical activities commissioned by pharmaceutical companies.
