Opening of Portrait Gallery of Shevchenko Prize Winners
On March 9, 2021, Karazin University is opening a gallery of portraits of Karazinites who have won the Shevchenko Prize.
This award is given for outstanding works of literature, art, journalism, which become the spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people, enrich their historical memory and national identity.
Karazinites who have won the Shevchenko Prize are a bright constellation of extraordinary personalities: world-famous artists, writers, poets, writers, linguists.
Among them are: writer, linguist, translator Borys Antonenko-Davydovych; poet, translator, literary critic Dmytro Bilous; literary critic Vasyl Borodin; poet Leonid Vysheslavskyi; actor Andrii Vodychev; writer Oles Honchar; artist Mykhailo Derehus; writer, translator Oksana Ivanenko; writer, playwright Oleksii Kolomiets; literary critic, linguist Ivan Svitlychnyi; publicist Nadiia Svitlychna; writer, poet Vadym Sobko; poet Volodymyr Sosiura; writer and poet Hryhir Tiutiunnyk; linguist, literary historian Yurii Shevelov.
