War takes the best ones...

Today it became known about the death of Oleksandr Chaban, a graduate of the Faculty of Sociology, Master of Political Science, the head of the Student Scientific Society of the University in 2009-2013, and the leader of student self-government of Karazin University.

He was an officer who defended Kharkiv at the front during those terrible months of the war. A veteran of the ATO, a volunteer, he has been defending Ukraine since 2014. And when the russian invasion began, he again joined the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Died in battle on July 20. He was the commander of a group that knocked out several enemy tanks. Together with his comrades, they came under fire, and when they were leaving, Alexander covered his comrades with his body.

He would have turned 35 on August 17. However, fate was different.

Daughter Sofia was left without a father.

The Karazin community expresses its deepest condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the deceased.

But heroes don't die! They become angels and our heavenly protectors and advocates!

And Ukraine will win! And the memory of our heroes will be forever!
